When exactly does it peak?

The window is mid-March to mid-April, but the exact peak shifts every year with the weather: a mild late winter brings the bulbs forward, a cold or wet spring holds them back. There is no fixed date that can be promised months ahead.

Tulipmania is the busiest period of the whole season. Weekday mornings are much quieter than weekends, so arrive early in the day if you can — and plan your journey in advance, as the roads and the car park fill up fastest on spring weekends.
